GARNET BELLEROSE Age 23 Pronouns She/her Height 5’4” Build Dainty Species Human First Impressions Vocal Reference (CV: Luci Christian) Garnet is a cis woman in her early twenties, who's about 5'4'' tall with an hourglass build. She's got a very pretty face and she's a little on the pale side, but otherwise has the sort of outdoorsy, healthy glow to her that someone who spends a lot of time outside would. Her hair is long and black and that reaches just past the small of her back, with blunt bangs cut just above her eyes, which are purple. Her face is framed by two locks of hair that fall to around her shoulders, with the one on the right having a streak of hair that grows in a slightly lighter shade to the rest. She dresses primarily in dark purples, blacks and reds, with some sort of rose accessory somewhere on her person (usually her hair) and will nearly always be carrying her Grimoire with her – an old, tattered looking book with a jeweled cover. Garnet's PB is uh, Garnet from Lapis Re:LIGHTS and I frankensteined all those VN style icons together because I enjoy suffering. Demenor & Impression Highlights ✦ Garnet's body language in general tends towards reserved or even closed off – she tends to have her arms clasped in front of her even when she's "relaxed" and often, when she carries her Grimoire, she'll hold it to her chest like she's trying to block off/shield her body. She's not necessarily unfriendly, but she absolutely gives off the impression, even unconsciously, that she's always on the defense and never truly relaxed. ✦ Always :) Be :) Smiling :). She does her best to always project a gentle, smiling, unaffected air so she nearly always has a smile on her face, even when she's uncomfortable. It should be noted that her usual smile is very Customer Service, but her more unguarded smiles and laughs are much nicer. ✦ Her manner of speaking is measured and polite – proper, without being overly formal. She does her best to sound warm and friendly, not exactly overly familiar but she sounds open and kind. On the rare occasions she visibly loses her composure, her voice tends to go up in pitch and gets extremely shaky despite her attempts to control it. ✦ Empathetic and good at reading the mood – she tends strongly towards assuming the best of people, even in the worst circumstances and actively chooses to offer kindness and compassion to people even if it doesn't always pay off. ✦ A bit of a doormat when it comes to things that affect her but will be very quick to rise to the defense of others, particularly if they can't defend themselves. ✦ Extremely bad at advocating for herself in any meaningful way. Abilities & Magical Info ✦ Dusk Magic: Garnet's natural magical abilities are called "Dusk Magic" in her home country. At her 'default' canon point, this primarily manifests as anti-magic – Garnet, by default, disrupts and cancels out magic in her vicinity, making it work inconsistently or not at all. Because of this, she's functionally immune to healing magic. Further along in her story and with her getting a better understanding of how it works, Dusk Magic manifests as energy manipulation. Under the full scope of her powers, Garnet can not only dampen and cancel out other kinds of magic, but she can also amplify it, multiply it and manipulate it in unusual ways. ✦ Construction Magic: Her only other magical ability, which is essentially just constructing weapons out of raw magical energy to use as self-defense. Since they're made out of Dusk magic, they carry anti-magic affinities. ✦ Magical & Alchemical Knowledge: She's spend a good deal of time researching alchemical and magical theories so it's something she's reasonably well-read about. permissions art credit, code credit
